POLIFILM EXTRUSION is part of the family-run, internationally active POLIFILM Group, a leading manufacturer of polyethylene and polypropylene-based extrusion films and protective film solutions. Around 1,600 employees in 11 plants and 13 sales offices, together with over 20 distribution partners worldwide, do everything they can to realize the EXCELLENCE IN FILMS mission statement every day. As a film extrusion specialist, POLIFILM EXTRUSION, based in Weißandt-Gölzau, is one of Europe's largest extrusion sites. The company serves national and international customers from various industries with sophisticated solutions, including stretch films, technical films and packaging films. POLIFILM EXTRUSION is constantly developing its solutions to meet the industry's growing demands for modern products and legal regulations. Tailor-made films based on renewable raw materials and innovative bio-based materials are playing an increasingly important role - alongside films for recyclable packaging and the increasing use of recyclates in the solutions themselves. One of the core tasks of the dedicated employees is to continue to expand their knowledge of processing sustainable raw materials made from non-fossil resources on an industrial scale and to put this knowledge into practice. As part of the RUBIO consortium, POLIFILM EXTRUSION is contributing to the joint project by researching blown film processing methods for bio-based PBS materials and evaluating the recyclability of PBS films.
