Plastics made from plant waste that can be recycled several times into new products of equal value, such as textiles, cladding or packaging and that are biodegradable: This is our vision of a sustainable plastics economy that should become reality in three to five years.
RUBIO's Alliance
We, 18 companies and research institutions mainly rooted in the Central German Chemical Triangle, have joined forces to form a regional alliance called RUBIO. Our network covers the entire value chain from biotechnology to industrial processing and recycling. With the alliance project, we are helping to shape the structural transformation of Central Germany: Today's brown coal area will become a "region of renewable plastics" with us.
